Vintage egg cups WMF F.A. Breuhaus de Groot - Set of 6

Six beautiful rare vintage egg cups on three ball feet made by Fritz August Breuhaus de Groot was designed for WMF around 1940/30.

• Made in Solingen, marked with the WMF brand
  Design: F ritz August Breuhaus de Groot around 1930
• Material: Silver plated metal
• Dimensions: H 4 cm x Diameter 4 cm
• Condition: Overall very good used condition. With a beautiful patina that varies in intensity on the individual egg cups
  (see photos).

• Normal signs of wear consistent with age and use (cleaning marks, scratches)

About the designer:

Fritz August Breuhaus de Groot (09.02.1883 Solingen - 02.12.1960 Rodenkirchen). Breuhaus was a member of the German Werkbund and had also been an adjunct professor since 1928. In addition to his work as an architect for country houses and interiors, he designed, among other things, various objects such as cutlery, lamps, wallpaper and other luxurious household items, e.g. T. for well-known manufacturers such as the WK association, the Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik (WMF) or the Rheinische wallpaper factory.
