The LAGUNA series was designed by Marco Sironi for Ichendorf Milano. The vertical stripes running the length of the lenses are inspired by Rigadin, the tradition of Murano glassmaking.
The special thing about the LAGUNA series is the straightness of the shape and the fine wave on the upper edge, which make up the handmade character of the carafe and glasses. The actually two opposite forms bring this series into its beauty.

The LAGUNA carafe goes well with this.

  • Mouth blown in Italy

The history of Ichendorf began in the early years of the 20th century in a small town near Cologne called Quadrath-Ichendorf. There, many master glaziers used a mixture of substances, including silica, to give objects a shape that corresponded to the fine taste of the time. Until 1950, precious ornaments played the leading role in various tasteful collections.
A very important change in taste was introduced this year: the preference for a clean form and purity of material, in order to achieve a kind of transparency that has no defects.
