JICON white handmade porcelain plates designed by OJI Masanori. The texture of the chrysanthemum leaves on the inside gives the plate its name. The shapes and patterns are based on the old ARITA traditions, but have been refined by the designer to suit the modern lifestyle.

The brand name means "porcelain (JI) in modern times (CON).

The porcelain is made in house IMAMURA of the Touetsugama kiln founded 350 years ago. The Touetsugama kiln originally originated in Sasebo City, Nagasaki Prefecture, but was moved to Arita, Saga Prefecture, and succeeded by IMAMURA Kenichi XIV. The kiln produces porcelain pieces for daily living using its traditional white porcelain techniques from Amakusa Touseki (porcelain stone).
